About
Nuno N. Correia (Coden) is a musician, DJ and new media artist from Portugal, now living in Finland. He is a PhD student at Media Lab Helsinki. Nuno started DJing and doing sound design for theater in 1992, and has been producing, performing and DJing as Coden since 2000. His main influences are early electronic music, dub, IDM, techno, and deeper shades of house.
Coden released his first demo, “Per:form“, in 2000. Following this release, several of his tracks were featured in Portuguese compilations.
Coden’s debut CD/DVD, “Heat Seeker“, was released in 2006. It has been presented in several international festivals, as live performance (Portugal, Germany, Poland, Russia) or DVD screening (UK, Finland, Brazil, China). An interactive version of “Idiot Prince”, a track from “Heat Seeker”, was released online in 2006. In 2008, a full interactive version of “Heat Seeker” was released online. The visual and interactive component of Heat Seeker was developed by Video Jack (Nuno Correia and André Carrilho).
Since 2007, Nuno has been making new music for Video Jack audiovisual projects:
“AVOL“, 2007, and
“Master and Margarita“, 2009.
